This past weekend I attended a conference in Nashville for our electronic medical record and office management software, eClinicalWorks. It was a whirlwind tour of ways we can improve and update our office efficiency, service, care and experience.
Here’s a preview of things to come….
Messenger – We will soon start to do automated reminder calls and more using this system. Now reminders will be sent by either phone, text or email per the patient’s preference. Please be sure to update your preference at your upcoming visit!
Check in Kiosk – We will be setting up an iPAD kiosk system for the office. We will have both some stationary and mobile units to reduce patient’s paperwork. Don’t be afraid to try these out! I think you will find them extremely simple and user friendly. Most importantly, by reducing patient paperwork, we can shorten wait and processing time in the office at check-in.
Online Appointment Request and Scheduling – We will soon be using both the healow app as well as the patient portal to allow online appointment scheduling and requests.
Insurance Verification – We will be able to verify your insurance coverage, eligibility, copay and out of pocket cost REAL TIME to reduce guesswork for patients and our staff.
healow app – This is an app version of our patient portal which I think most will find easier to use and log in. It is available at the app store today to help coordinate all of your healthcare and wellness needs for FREE! Check it out!
After celebrating the first 10 years of our practice last month, I am so excited to see these new features improve the service and experience we provide to our patients!
